AU79 is a finely crafted jewellery brand founded by Stephanie Seychell in 2020, with a name drawn from the periodic element of gold, in its most natural form.
AU79 uses natural metals such as silver and gold to create all the pieces. The stones used are all lab grown, with a great focus on Opals.
“Jewellery is a family tradition. When I was growing up, everyone wore it and my Mother was always buying jewellery and I used to try everything on for fun.
I remember my Grandpa wearing signet rings. I wanted to pay homage to him, my mother, and my home, but do it very much in my own way.”
Stephanie moved to London from Malta in 2014, and references that as a significant turning point in understanding she wanted to explore her creative side. She embraces the contrast of the big city mixed with the memories of home and island living, and the vibrant, heirloom fusion that it creates in her jewellery.
AU79 is an independently owned and genderless brand. The pieces are meant to inspire, be worn everyday, and by all.
